My first ships and saber duels weren't in a video game - they were on the living-room floor in kindergarten, with Star Wars figures and Bionicle sets. I didn't know the word “worldbuilding” yet; I just knew every hero needed a name that sounded like it belonged in the story. That habit never left me. Later came World of Warcraft, RuneScape, Dungeons & Dragons, and more hours in character creators than any sane person should admit. The galaxy got bigger - but the naming screen stayed just as stubborn.

That's the spark behind this site: a workshop for sci-fi names that feel like they came from a real universe - Jedi and Sith, mechs and cyborgs, aliens, ships, and all the odd corners in between - without burning your evening on trial and error. Each generator is built to nudge your imagination, shave off the blank-page moment, and get you back to the adventure.

Away from the keyboard I'm deep into Mechanical Engineering (real-world machines, not just the fictional kind) and training for Ironman races - long efforts, stubborn problems, and the same obsession with getting the details right.

What I am not: a linguist, a lore archivist, or anyone with a claim to authority over the franchises this site borrows from. I have no formal training in naming or in any real-world language, and where a post touches established canon I check it against a reference and link it rather than trusting my own memory. If I get something wrong, I would rather hear about it than have it sit there. How the name lists are actually built, and where generated content is and is not used, is set out in the editorial policy.
